Responsibility

A mine is a fifty-year relationship. We act like it.

Our licence to operate comes from the State and from the communities around our sites. We earn both by complying first and by being able to show it.

Compliance

The law first

We operate under each country's mining code and disclose our beneficial ownership to the competent authorities.

Communities

Local by default

Local hiring, local suppliers and training are built into each phase of the plan, not added after it.

Artisanal mining

Dialogue and clear rules

In historic gold districts, artisanal mining is part of the landscape. We engage with it through dialogue and clear rules, never through force.

Water and land

Leave the ground usable

Baseline studies before work starts, water management in every phase, progressive rehabilitation of mined ground.

Responsible gold

Traceable to the mine

We apply the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals, including its Gold Supplement, and sell only to counterparties that apply the same due diligence. Every shipment is traced from the mine to the refinery, and every ounce to the mine that produced it. We do not buy or blend third-party gold.
